There is No Other Gospel

There is no other gospel
Galatians 1:1-10

1 Paul, an apostle?sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead

2 and all the brothers and sisters with me,

3 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,

4 who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,

5 to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel

7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!

9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!

10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

He is saying no other ritual should cover up the love and the grace of God. If the gospel is given after circumcision, if circumcised first, then the ritual will cover up the grace of God.

Paul is saying that people will get circumcised then think that I am saved. It turns out that people think that I didn’t receive salvation from the love of God, but I received it because I got circumcised.

If a church teaches the people making rituals saying if you do this and gain salvation, if it is a church that teaches this lesson, then this is wrong. if we make that ritual a condition of meeting God and receiving salvation, then the gospel disappears.

Paul focused on and concentrated on saying you received salvation by faith. It is not by deeds. What is the law? Lawful faith is saying I did this deed, because I did this, I receive salvation. That is lawful faith. However, Paul said by faith you gain salvation.

Paul says I am a servant of Christ. Before, he says he is free, but now he is saying he is a servant. He became a servant on his own with his own free will. This is the same as the Lord becoming a servant for us.

Paul is the one who lived on following the love of Christ saying he is a servant of Christ. A servant lives by the will of the master. He is saying he is a servant that lives following the will of Christ. He is the one following in the love and sacrifice.
