In order to build up a Bible teacher team to raise up more disciples, Detroit Calvary posted Bible teacher recruitment ads through Indeed. In past months, several applicants applied and were interviewed. Minister was encouraged to meet these devoted Christians who want to be used by God, to teach the Word of God. We pray to have many suitable applicants and do mission together. May God be with us in the whole process.

Detroit Calvary members joined Central Region Christmas Retreat. We received abundant grace from all the Bible lectures, fellowship, and praise night. We learned from Romans 1 to Romans 8. Members were amazed by the profound messages. Several leaders also had graceful fellowships with us. The joyful and powerful praise night also brought to us touching and joy. At night time, Detroit members shared the grace we received. Brother Tariq confessed that he needs to let go of previous habits to live a new life. We prayed continually for this retreat to give our spiritual life new birth. Thank God for all His grace and love.

Detroit Calvary offered Thanksgiving Service to God by His grace. Brother Tariq, Vitor, Gus, Pastor Mary and brother Nathan from Minneapolis Deerlake church joined together. It is very graceful and thankful when we praised Lord together. All people had a heart-opened and warm thanksgiving sharing. We also enjoyed a delicious meal together.

God called Moses after his 40 years shepherd life. There is God’s plan towards our life. The way God revealed to Moses is through bush, which is shabby outside, but inside is life of fire. God asked Moses to take off his sandals, for God is holy and the place God reveals Himself is holy. We need to prepare ourselves to meet God and we will experience holiness in life.

Today, brother Yibo did opening prayer. May his faith grow up by this holy position. 4 people who were evangelized on campus joined service together. One brother Berry joined until the end and had sharing time together. May God guide more people to join service, especially in person.

Ministers gave thanks to God and looked forward to new month.

Brother Yibo, sister Nairobi and Elvira joined retreat together. Brother Yibo joined all the schedule. He said: faith comes from hearing the Word. By Word, we can endurance in difficulties. He also looked forward to finding the hiddren treasure. May God continually guide him and open his eyes to see it.

Minister received grace through the messages. Be patient in mission, cause God’s way is beyond ours. God’s kingdom is changing day and night, no matter if we notice or not. But as son of God, we don’t just follow, but participate the process of building Kingdom of heaven activity. We share the same heart with God’s. Also, may we become good scribe to share clear and deep message to people.

Thank God for all His grace and word inside Detroit Calvary. May God bless mission while we offer to God fully.

God brought 2 brothers to join today’s service.

Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! (Psalms 133:1)

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. (1 John 4:11)

The first 2 disciples are the ones who seek salvation, that’s why when they heard the testimony of Baptist John that Jesus is the lamb of God, they turned to Jesus. When Jesus asked them what are you seeking, they replied: where are you staying? Their concern is not about something outside, but about life itself. How does Jesus live His life? What’s the right path of human life? With these deep concerns, they became the first disciples. After they lived together with Jesus, they testified Jesus is Messiah. Apostle John testified that the truth is what we have seen, heard, and touched. Because they have lived together with Jesus, and through Jesus’ life, they recognized Jesus. May we also have this deep concern and know Jesus’ life through Bible, so that we can truly testify Jesus is Messiah.

Brother Fan and Chen joined service together. Brother Fan shared that he had been lost before, but recently he thought he shouldn’t live a lost life. He started to read Bible and pray these days. He eagerly expressed his hope to join service onsite. Minister testified this is truly God’s guidance.

Sister Chen was evangelized at Lawrence Technological University. 2 weeks ago, she suddenly contacted minister grace for counseling. After that, she joined Bible study and Sunday services. She was evangelized by one church before and attended their fellowship for around one year, but she couldn’t solve her question of faith. So she finally left that church and was busy with her normal life. Ministers answered some of her questions today and really realized that clearly teaching Bible is so important. 

These 2 brothers and sisters were lost sheep before, but God guided them back by His unchangeable love and grace. May God use Detroit Calvary to shepherd them well and bring them back to God completely.
